Rotarians Making a difference for survivors of Hurricane Harvey

Cassandra Felan and her family were just one of two families that recently received donations from the Rotary Club of Alice.

Felan and another family were uprooted when Hurricane Harvey hit the Coastal Bend in Aug. 25, 2017. Felan is a native of Alice, but was living in Port Aransas with her husband and children.

The family initially decided to ride out the storm in their home. However, as the hurricane intensified they evacuated back to Alice with family.

Thanks to generous donations from the community to the Rotary District 5930′s Emergency Relief Fund two families in the Alice community were able to get assistance from monetary donations to basic essentials.
