From the Alice Echo News Journal, June 29, 2016:
Interact students were guest speakers at Rotary's Wednesday luncheon and presented an overall view of their community service.
The students shared their volunteer experience at Kids Park, visited children at adoption event, collected toys during December for ARK children, who are foster children, participated in 5K among other events.
Rotarians Roge Hoffman and Bill Findley were recognized for their donations to the club and were pinned by Alice Rotary President Dee Dee Arismendez with Paul Harris lapel pin.
The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
It was established in 1957 to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.
This was also president Dee Dee Arismendez's last meeting as president.
